Possible Causes
Loose speed feedback connector between motor and controller, Faulty Hall sensor or tachometer in Speck motor, Damaged pressure or flow sensor wiring, Corroded low-voltage terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors or wiring.
Check connections:
- Motor feedback cable: On variable-speed Speck pumps, locate the low-voltage feedback cable from the motor to the controller. Ensure both ends are firmly seated and free of corrosion.
- Inspect sensor wiring: If a pressure or flow sensor is installed, check the cable for cuts, UV damage, or rodent bites.
- Clean terminals: Gently clean oxidized terminals with contact cleaner and a soft brush.
Test operation:
- Restore power and run the pump at a fixed speed. If E09 returns, the internal sensor in the motor or the controller input circuit may be defective.
Replace the faulty sensor assembly or motor (if the sensor is integrated) according to Speck Pumpen service documentation.
