Pump emits a high-pitched whine that changes with speed on variable-speed models.

Possible Causes
Normal inverter operation at certain frequencies, Loose motor mounting feet, Vibrating pump base or hollow mounting surface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before adjusting mounting hardware.
Mitigation steps:
- Check that all Speck motor mounting bolts are tight and that rubber feet (if supplied) are intact.
- Place anti-vibration pads under the pump base to dampen resonance.
- On variable-speed Speck pumps, slightly adjust programmed speeds to avoid resonance frequencies that cause the loudest whine.
If the noise is accompanied by overheating or fault codes, have the motor and drive checked by a technician.
