Possible Causes
Defective start capacitor, Stuck or worn motor bearings, Impeller jammed by debris, Incorrect supply voltage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power immediately to avoid overheating the motor.
Mechanical check:
- With power OFF, attempt to rotate the motor shaft by hand at the rear fan. It should spin freely.
- If stiff or seized, remove the pump housing and check for debris in the impeller. If bearings are noisy or rough, replace the motor or bearings.
Electrical check:
- Inspect and test the Speck motor capacitor; replace if faulty.
- Verify supply voltage matches the motor nameplate.
Do not repeatedly energize a non-starting motor; resolve the cause before restarting.
