Possible Causes
Stuck or water-damaged buttons, Failed membrane keypad, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Control PCB failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the pump before cleaning the control panel.
- Clean the keypad: Wipe the control panel with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove sunscreen, oils, and dirt. Do not use solvents or high-pressure water.
- Check for stuck buttons: Gently press each button several times to free any that may be stuck due to debris or dried residue.
- Dry the panel: If the panel has been splashed heavily, allow it to dry completely. Avoid operating in heavy rain.
- Restart: Plug the pump back in and test the buttons. If E8 persists and some or all buttons are unresponsive, the keypad or control PCB likely needs replacement.
