Pump housing is difficult to open; lid seems stuck or seized.

Safety First: Unplug the pump and relieve pressure before attempting to open the lid.

• Release pressure: Open any air relief or drain plug to relieve internal pressure.
• Use gentle leverage: Use the molded handles or a strap wrench to turn the lid. Do not use metal tools that can crack the plastic.
• Clean and lubricate: Once removed, clean the lid threads and O-ring groove. Replace the O-ring if swollen or cracked and apply a thin coat of silicone lubricant.
• Avoid over-tightening: When reinstalling, hand-tighten until snug; do not overtighten.
