Pump runs but filter pressure is very low and there is little suction at the skimmer.

Safety First: Unplug the pump before opening the lid or disconnecting hoses.

• Clean skimmer basket: Remove and empty the skimmer basket and any in-line strainers.
• Prime the pump: Fill the pump housing with water and reinstall the lid with a clean, lubricated O-ring.
• Check suction hose: Tighten clamps and replace any cracked or flattened hoses.
• Observe for bubbles: After restarting, watch the pump lid for persistent air bubbles, which indicate a suction leak that must be located and sealed.
