Possible Causes
Tripped GFCI plug, Tripped house breaker, Faulty power cord, Failed control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Do not operate the pump with a bypassed GFCI or damaged cord.
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another device and reset the house breaker if tripped.
- Reset GFCI: Press the RESET button on the Summer Waves GFCI plug. If it will not reset, the plug may be defective.
- Inspect cord: Look for visible damage along the entire length of the cord. Replace the cord set if any damage is found.
- Dry environment: Ensure the plug and outlet are dry. Moisture can cause GFCI trips.
- Internal failure: If there is confirmed power at the outlet and GFCI but no lights or response from the pump, the internal control PCB is likely failed and the pump head or entire unit should be replaced.
