Possible Causes
Failed RTC chip on control board, Depleted backup battery (if present), Firmware bug affecting scheduling, Surge damage to timing circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the controller cover.
- Manual operation test: Attempt to run the pump in manual mode at a fixed speed. If manual works but schedules do not, the RTC is suspect.
- Reset date/time: Re-enter the current date and time in the controller menu and reprogram schedules.
- Check for backup battery: If the U.S. Motors board has a coin-cell battery, replace it with the same type, observing polarity.
- Firmware update: If supported, update the controller firmware per U.S. Motors instructions to correct known RTC issues.
- Replace control board: If E19 persists and scheduling remains inoperative, replace the pump control board.
