Possible Causes
Failed IGBT or power module on control board, Moisture intrusion into control housing, Corroded low‑voltage connectors between keypad and main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power at the breaker before opening the control housing.
- Inspect for moisture: Remove the control cover on the Waterway pump and look for signs of water, condensation, or corrosion on the control board. Dry gently with a clean cloth and allow the unit to air dry completely.
- Check gaskets and seals: Inspect the keypad gasket and control cover o‑ring for cracks or flattening. Replace if they are not sealing properly to prevent future moisture ingress.
- Reseat connectors: Unplug and re‑plug the low‑voltage ribbon cable between the keypad/display and the main control board. Ensure all connectors click fully into place.
- Power cycle: Restore power and perform a full power cycle by turning the breaker off for 2–3 minutes, then back on. Clear the error and test.
- Board replacement: If E06 returns immediately or frequently, the inverter section of the control board is likely damaged and the entire control board assembly should be replaced.
