How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the keypad or control cover.
- Check keypad cable: Remove the front keypad bezel or control cover on the Waterway pump. Inspect the flat ribbon cable for kinks, cuts, or burn marks.
- Reseat connectors: Gently unplug the ribbon cable from the keypad and the control board, then plug them back in fully. Ensure the locking tabs are engaged.
- Inspect keypad overlay: Look for water under the keypad membrane, cracked buttons, or delamination. If water has entered, the keypad assembly should be replaced.
- Test after reassembly: Restore power and check if the display responds and the error clears. If E08 persists with a known‑good keypad, the control board’s interface circuit is likely faulty.
