Possible Causes
Failed LCD module, Loose display ribbon cable, Sun damage to keypad/display, Low control voltage to display
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing the keypad or control cover.
- Inspect display connections: Remove the keypad bezel and check the ribbon cable between the display and control board. Reseat firmly.
- Check for sun damage: Look for discoloration or cracking of the LCD. If present, replace the keypad/display assembly with a Waterway part.
- Test backlight: Power on and observe at night or in low light to see if any backlight is present. No backlight plus no characters often indicates a failed display module.
- Replace display: If the pump runs but the display remains blank after reseating cables, replace the keypad/display assembly.
