Zodiac variable-speed pump display shows ERR2 and the pump will not start.

Safety: Only work on electrical connections if you are qualified. Always shut off power at the breaker and lock it out if possible.

• Verify supply voltage: Using a multimeter, measure voltage at the pump terminals and compare to the rating on the Zodiac motor nameplate (e.g., 230V). Voltage should be within ±10%.
• Inspect terminals: With power off, tighten all line and ground connections at the pump. Look for corrosion or heat discoloration and clean or replace lugs as needed.
• Check wire size and length: Long runs with small-gauge wire can cause voltage drop. Compare your installation to Zodiac's installation manual for recommended wire gauge.
• Test at panel: Measure voltage at the breaker. If voltage is low there as well, contact your utility or an electrician.

If voltage is correct and stable but ERR2 persists, the drive electronics in the pump may be faulty and require replacement.
