Possible Causes
Failed LCD or LED display, Loose ribbon cable inside control, UV damage to keypad, Low-voltage power supply issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before opening any control housings.
- Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for a few minutes, then restore power to see if the display recovers.
- Shade the control: If the pump is in direct sun, provide shade to reduce further UV damage.
- Use automation (if available): If connected to a Zodiac automation system, you may still control the pump remotely even if the local display is bad.
- Inspect internal connections: A technician can open the control module and reseat or replace the display ribbon cable or keypad assembly.
A failed display module typically requires replacement of the keypad/display assembly or entire control module.
