Pump is leaking water from the clear lid area on top of the pump basket.

Safety: Turn off power before opening the pump.

• Clean sealing surfaces: Remove the lid and O-ring. Clean the groove and mating surface on the pump housing.
• Inspect O-ring: Look for cracks, flat spots, or stretching. Replace with a Zodiac-specific lid O-ring if damaged.
• Lubricate O-ring: Apply a thin coat of silicone-based pool lube to help the O-ring seat and seal.
• Check lid for cracks: Inspect the clear lid for hairline cracks around the threads or handle. Replace if any are found.
• Reinstall correctly: Tighten the lid evenly by hand until snug; do not overtighten.

Persistent leaks after O-ring and lid replacement may indicate a warped housing that requires pump housing replacement.
