Display shows DOOR or a door icon, oven will not start or pyrolytic cycle will not run

Safety first: Turn off power before attempting to adjust or remove the door lock mechanism.

• Check door closure: Ensure the oven door is fully closed and not obstructed by racks or trays.
• Inspect latch: Look at the latch on the oven frame and the striker on the door. If bent or loose, carefully realign and tighten screws.
• Listen for lock motor: When starting a pyrolytic or locked function (with power on), listen for the lock motor. No sound may indicate a failed motor or no power to it.
• Manual release (if door stuck locked): With power off and the cooker cooled, remove the top panel or front trim to access the lock. Use the manual release lever (if fitted) to open the door. Do not force the door.

When to call a technician: Replacement of the door lock assembly or microswitches should be done by a professional to ensure correct safety interlocking.
