Possible Causes
Accidental activation of control lock, User settings retained after power cut, Stuck lock button on fascia
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure all cooking zones and ovens are off before changing lock settings.
- Deactivate lock: On most AGA electronic ranges, press and hold the designated lock key (often a key symbol) for 3–5 seconds until LOC or the padlock icon disappears. Refer to your user manual for the exact key combination.
- Power reset: If the lock will not clear, turn off power for 1–2 minutes, then restore and try the lock sequence again.
- Check for stuck key: If the lock button feels stuck or does not respond, gently clean around it and test again. A faulty fascia may need replacement.
When to call a technician: If the control remains locked despite following the manual’s procedure, the user interface board may be faulty and require service.
