Possible Causes
Open oven temperature sensor (RTD), Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector at control board, Corroded sensor plug
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing internal components.
- Locate the oven sensor: Inside the oven cavity, find the thin metal probe mounted with two screws on the rear wall.
- Remove and test sensor:
- Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward.
- Disconnect the plug (may be behind the rear panel on some models).
- Measure resistance with a multimeter; at room temperature it should be ~1050–1100 Ω.
- If the sensor is open (infinite resistance) or far out of spec, replace it.
- Check wiring and connectors: Inspect the harness from the sensor to the control board for cuts, burns, or loose pins. Reseat connectors firmly.
- Control board: If the sensor and wiring are good but F3 persists, the sensor input circuit on the electronic control may be faulty and the control board should be replaced.
