How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control panel.
- Check for stuck keys: With power off, press each button several times to feel for sticking or unusual resistance. Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth (no spray directly on panel).
- Dry out moisture: If the panel was recently cleaned with liquid, allow it to dry for several hours with power disconnected.
- Inspect keypad ribbon:
- Remove the rear console cover.
- Disconnect the keypad ribbon from the control board.
- Inspect for cracks or corrosion and reseat.
- Isolate keypad vs. control: With the keypad ribbon disconnected, restore power briefly:
- If F7 appears with keypad disconnected, the control board is faulty.
- If F7 does not appear, the keypad/touchpad is defective and should be replaced.
