Possible Causes
Recent power outage, loose power cord connection, tripped breaker, poor electrical supply to range
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If you suspect wiring issues, turn off power at the breaker before inspecting connections.
- Confirm household power: Check that the range's circuit breaker is fully in the ON position and has not partially tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Check cord and outlet: For cord-and-plug installations, ensure the plug is fully seated in the receptacle. Inspect the cord for burns or damage.
- Clear code: Press CLEAR/OFF or similar key to clear PF. Reset the clock and test oven and cooktop functions.
- Monitor for recurrence: If PF appears frequently without known outages, have an electrician check the dedicated circuit and connections at the junction box or outlet.
Persistent PF errors may indicate unstable supply voltage that can damage electronic controls over time.
