Oven light does not turn on when door is opened or when light switch is pressed.

Safety first: Turn off power before replacing bulbs or working on switches.

• Replace bulb: Remove the oven light lens and bulb. Replace with the correct high-temperature appliance bulb specified for American Range ovens.
• Test door switch: Locate the oven door switch (usually in the frame). Press it manually and listen for a click. Test for continuity with a multimeter; replace if it does not change state when pressed.
• Check light switch: If your model has a separate light button, test the light switch for continuity when pressed.
• Inspect socket and wiring: Examine the light socket for burns or corrosion. Repair or replace the socket and wiring if damaged.

Use only bulbs rated for oven use; standard bulbs can fail quickly or shatter.
