Possible Causes

Tripped breaker, blown internal fuse, loose power connection, failed EOC power supply circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before opening any panels. High voltage is present at the terminal block.

  • Check breaker and outlet: Verify the range's breaker is ON and not tripped. For corded units, ensure the outlet has proper voltage.
  • Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover to access the terminal block. Look for burnt wires or loose lugs. Tighten connections and replace any burnt wiring or the block itself.
  • Internal fuse: Some American Range models include an internal line fuse on the control circuit. Check and replace if blown, but also identify and correct the cause of the overload.
  • Control board: If power is present at the control board input but the display remains dead, the EOC is likely failed and should be replaced.

If you are not experienced with live voltage testing, have a qualified technician perform these checks.
