How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and verify the cooktop is cool before lifting the glass.

Access element: Remove mounting screws and carefully lift the glass top to expose the radiant elements.
Inspect element: Look for visible breaks or burn spots in the element coil. A broken element must be replaced.
Check connections: Ensure all wires to the element and limiter are secure and not burned.
Control check: If the element and wiring appear intact, the infinite switch (on knob-controlled models) or the electronic control relay (on touch models) may be faulty and require replacement.

Support the glass top while working to avoid stress and cracking.

Electric radiant element does not heat at all; indicator light may or may not come on.

Possible Causes
