Possible Causes
Failed left or right power module, Blown internal fuse on module, Overheated and damaged IGBTs, Poor cooling on one side
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker and verify no power is present before removing covers.
- Identify side: Note which zones are affected (left or right side). This usually corresponds to a specific power module.
- Inspect module: Remove the bottom cover and inspect the power module for burn marks, cracked components, or blown fuses (if accessible).
- Check cooling: Ensure the cooling fan directs airflow across both modules and that vents are not blocked on the affected side.
- Replace module: If damage is visible or E8 persists, replace the affected power module with the correct Asko part number.
Always mount replacement modules securely and reapply any required thermal pads or compound as specified by Asko.
