Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooktop at the circuit breaker and verify the glass surface is cool before removing any panels.
- Power reset: Switch the breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then back ON. Test each zone. If F1 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient logic fault.
- Check for moisture: Inspect around the touch control area for spills or steam condensation. Dry the glass surface thoroughly and allow the unit to sit powered off for at least 30 minutes before retesting.
- Inspect wiring: If accessible from below, remove the lower cover and visually inspect the ribbon cable and harness between the touch control (front) and the main power board. Ensure all connectors are fully seated and not corroded or pinched.
- Board diagnosis: If F1 persists on all zones, the touch control board is the most common failure. If it appears only on one side or group of zones, the corresponding power board may be faulty. Replacement of electronic boards should be done with anti-static precautions and with the power locked out at the breaker.
If you are not comfortable working around live electrical circuits, contact an authorized Asko service technician.
