Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor on the affected zone, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Faulty power module temperature input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Glass and components may be hot; allow to cool.
- Visual inspection: Access the underside of the cooktop and locate the temperature sensor (NTC) for the affected zone, usually clipped to the underside of the glass near the coil. Check for broken wires or a sensor that has come loose from its clip.
- Reseat connectors: Unplug and replug the sensor connector at the power module to clear any oxidation or poor contact.
- Check for damage: If the sensor lead is burned, cut, or brittle, it should be replaced. A sensor that is not firmly attached to the glass can also cause false readings.
- Module evaluation: If a known-good sensor still results in F3, the power module’s sensor input circuit may be defective and the module will need replacement.
Use an OEM Asko-compatible sensor; incorrect resistance values can cause further error codes.
