Possible Causes
Incorrect line voltage (too low or too high), Loose terminal block connections, Miswired L1/L2/Neutral, Power board sensing circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before opening the junction box or terminal cover.
- Verify supply: Using a multimeter (only if you are qualified), check that the supply voltage at the cooktop terminal block matches the rating on the Asko data plate (typically 208–240 V AC).
- Inspect connections: Remove the terminal block cover and check that all screws are tight and that wires are correctly landed on L1, L2, and Neutral/ground as per the installation diagram.
- Look for heat damage: Replace any burned or melted terminal block and cut back and re-strip any overheated wire ends.
- Module fault: If supply voltage is correct and connections are solid, the power board’s voltage sensing circuit may be defective and require replacement.
Never operate the cooktop on an incorrect voltage; this can cause permanent damage and safety hazards.
