Cooktop shows F7 and touch controls are unresponsive or erratic.

Safety first: Ensure the cooktop is off and the glass is cool before cleaning.

• Clear the surface: Remove any pots, utensils, or cloths from the control area. Wipe the glass with a dry, soft cloth to remove moisture or residue.
• Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for 2 minutes, then restore power. Do not touch the control area for 30 seconds to allow self-calibration.
• Check for damage: Inspect the glass over the control area for cracks or impact damage. Cracked glass can affect touch sensitivity and must be replaced.
• Internal inspection: If F7 persists, the touch sensor board or its ribbon cable may be defective. Inspect and reseat the ribbon cable; if no improvement, replace the touch control assembly.

Avoid using harsh cleaners or abrasive pads on the control area, as they can damage the touch sensors.
