Possible Causes

Accidental activation of control lock, User interface glitch after power outage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure all burners are off and the surface is cool.

  • Unlock controls: Press and hold the designated lock key (often a key symbol or combination such as "Lock" + "+" or "Power" for 3–5 seconds) until the LOC indicator disappears. Refer to the user manual for the exact sequence for your Asko model.
  • Power cycle: If the lock will not clear, turn off the breaker for 2 minutes, restore power, and try the unlock sequence again.
  • Check for stuck keys: Make sure no objects or dried spills are pressing on the touch keys. Clean the control area with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Control lock is a normal feature and not a hardware fault unless it cannot be cleared with the proper key sequence.
