Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the burner and allow it to cool. If you smell strong gas or see very large yellow flames, shut off the gas supply and ventilate the area.
- Clean burner: Remove and clean the burner head and cap, ensuring all ports are clear.
- Check cap placement: Make sure the burner cap is centered and seated properly; misalignment can cause yellow or uneven flames.
- Verify gas type: Confirm that the cooktop or range is configured for your gas type (natural gas or LP). If recently converted, ensure the correct Asko conversion kit and orifices were used.
- Call gas supplier/technician: If multiple burners have weak flames, gas pressure may be low or the regulator may be faulty. Have a qualified technician check and adjust pressure and air shutters.
Proper flame should be mostly blue with small yellow tips and should be stable without lifting or roaring.
