Cooktop gas burners click but do not light or take a long time to light on Avanti gas range

Safety first: Turn off burners and allow them to cool. Shut off gas if removing burner parts.

• Check burner caps: Ensure burner caps are properly seated and centered on the burner base.
• Clean burner ports: Remove burner caps and heads. Use a soft brush or a wooden toothpick to clear clogged ports. Do not enlarge holes.
• Clean igniter: Gently clean the igniter electrode with a soft brush to remove grease or residue. Ensure the ceramic is not cracked.
• Check gas flow: If all burners are weak, gas pressure may be low. Verify that the shutoff valve is fully open. If problem persists, contact a gas technician.
