Possible Causes
Overheated glass surface, Failed temperature limiter on radiant element, Poor contact between sensor and glass, Faulty power board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooktop and allow it to cool completely. Disconnect power before opening the unit.
- Cool-down reset: If E2 appears after prolonged high-heat cooking, allow the cooktop to cool for 30–60 minutes, then try again. Ensure cookware is flat and not oversized for the zone.
- Inspect limiter: Lift the glass top and locate the temperature limiter attached to the affected radiant element. Ensure it is firmly clipped and making good contact with the element and glass.
- Check for damage: Look for discoloration, cracks, or burn marks on the limiter and element. Replace any damaged components.
- Replace limiter or element: If E2 recurs on the same zone, replace the temperature limiter. If the element shows signs of overheating or open circuits, replace the radiant heating element.
