Possible Causes
Incompatible cookware (non-magnetic), Cookware too small or not centered, Failed induction coil, Faulty induction power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the cooktop. Induction modules store high voltage; discharge capacitors before handling.
- Check cookware: Ensure you are using flat-bottom, ferromagnetic cookware (a magnet should stick to the bottom). Center the pan on the zone and ensure it covers the minimum area.
- Try another pan: Test with a different known-compatible pan. If E3 clears, the original cookware was incompatible.
- Inspect coil and wiring: With power off and glass lifted, inspect the induction coil for cracks, burnt spots, or broken leads. Check wiring from coil to power module.
- Replace faulty parts: If the coil is damaged, replace the induction coil assembly. If the coil looks good but E3 persists on that zone only, replace the induction power module for that zone.
