How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: For control access, disconnect power at the breaker.
- Clear entry: Press CLEAR/OFF and re-enter the desired function following the user manual steps. Ensure you are pressing keys in the correct order.
- Power cycle: Turn off power for 1–2 minutes, then restore. This can clear minor software glitches.
- Clean keypad: Wipe the control panel with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid excessive moisture that can cause false key presses.
- Inspect touch board: On Avanti glass cooktops with touch controls, remove the mounting screws and lift the glass top (with power off). Inspect the touch control board for moisture, corrosion, or burn marks. Dry any moisture and clean light corrosion with contact cleaner.
