Control panel displays LOC or a lock icon on Avanti range, oven and sometimes cooktop controls do not respond

Safety first: This is typically a user setting, not an electrical fault. No need to disconnect power unless the lock will not clear.

• Unlock sequence: On most Avanti ranges, press and hold the LOCK or OVEN LOCK key for 3–5 seconds until the LOC indicator disappears. If there is no dedicated lock key, consult the user manual for the specific key combination (often holding STOP/CLEAR or TIMER).
• Power reset: If the lock will not clear, turn off power at the breaker for 1–2 minutes, then restore power and try the unlock sequence again.
• Check keypad: If the lock key does not respond or feels stuck, clean the control panel surface and gently press around the key to free it. If still unresponsive, the keypad may be failing.
• Replace keypad/control: If the control remains locked and the key does not function, replace the control panel touchpad assembly or EOC depending on your model's design.
