One electric cooktop element on Avanti range does not heat, others work normally

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing cooktop or control panel.

• Inspect element: On coil elements, swap the non-working element with a working one. If the problem follows the element, replace the surface element. On radiant elements, lift the glass top and visually inspect for breaks or burn marks.
• Check wiring: Ensure wires are firmly attached to the element terminals and not burnt.
• Test switch: If the element is good, test the infinite switch or electronic control output for that zone. Replace the infinite switch or zone control board if it does not send power.
