Oven door will not close fully or does not seal on Avanti range

Safety first: Allow oven to cool completely before working on the door.

• Inspect hinges: Open the door and check hinges for bending or excessive play. Tighten hinge mounting screws.
• Check hinge receivers: Inspect the hinge receivers in the oven frame for cracks or looseness. Tighten or replace as needed.
• Inspect gasket: Check the oven door gasket for tears, flattening, or missing sections. Replace the oven door gasket if damaged.
• Door removal: Many Avanti doors can be removed by opening to the broil stop position and lifting off the hinges. Remove the door to inspect and replace hinges if necessary.
