Strong gas smell around Avanti gas range when burners or oven are in use

Safety first: If you smell raw gas strongly, turn off the gas supply immediately, ventilate the area, and do not operate electrical switches or flames. Contact your gas supplier or a qualified technician.

• Check connections (only if odor is faint and intermittent): With gas off, inspect the flexible gas line, regulator, and manifold connections for looseness or damage.
• Soap test: Turn gas on briefly and apply a soap-and-water solution to suspected joints. Bubbles indicate a leak. Turn gas off immediately if a leak is found.
• Do not attempt valve repair: If the leak appears to be from the oven safety valve or internal manifold, these components should be replaced by a licensed gas technician.
