• Remove knobs: Pull the knobs straight off the shafts.
• Clean area: Clean around the shafts with warm soapy water. Do not flood the area with liquid.
• Inspect knobs: Replace any knobs that are cracked or melted.
• Valve lubrication: If a gas valve is stiff, it may require internal lubrication or replacement by a qualified gas technician; do not force it.
