Possible Causes
Burned-out radiant heating element, Failed infinite switch (energy regulator), Loose wiring to hotplate, Faulty control knob
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains and allow the cooktop to cool.
- Test other zones: If only one zone fails, suspect that element or its control. If all fail, suspect supply or main switch.
- Access element: Lift the ceramic glass top (after removing securing screws) to access the radiant elements.
- Measure element: Test resistance of the faulty zone's element. Replace if open circuit.
- Check infinite switch: On knob-controlled models, test the energy regulator for continuity and output. Replace if it does not switch power correctly.
Warning: Handle the glass top carefully to avoid cracking.
