Possible Causes

Open heating element (bake or grill), Faulty safety thermostat (thermal cut-out), Loose wiring at element terminals, Failed relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool before removing panels.

  • Test heating elements: Access the rear of the oven and disconnect the bake and grill element terminals. Measure resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
  • Inspect terminals: Look for burnt or loose spade connectors at the elements. Clean and tighten or replace connectors as needed.
  • Check safety thermostat: Locate the high-limit thermostat (usually on the top of the oven cavity). Test for continuity. If open and not resettable, replace it.
  • Control board relay: If elements and thermostat are good, the heating relay on the EOC may be defective. Replace the EOC if no voltage is supplied to the elements when heating is commanded.

Warning: Do not bypass safety thermostats; they are critical for fire prevention.
