Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Jammed fan blade, Faulty fan capacitor (if fitted), Broken wiring to fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the appliance from mains and let it cool.
- Check fan operation: In convection mode, the fan should run continuously. If it does not spin or is noisy, suspect the motor.
- Access fan: Remove the rear panel or inner rear cover inside the oven cavity to expose the convection fan assembly.
- Inspect for obstructions: Ensure no loose screws or foil are blocking the fan. Manually spin the blade; it should turn freely.
- Test motor: Measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also inspect any series capacitor for bulging or leakage and replace if defective.
- Replace fan motor: Install a new Bauknecht convection fan motor and reassemble. Test in convection mode.
Warning: Sharp metal edges inside the oven can cause cuts; wear gloves.
