Possible Causes

Open-circuit oven temperature sensor, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose connector at sensor or control board, Corroded sensor plug

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing any panels.

  • Access sensor: Inside the oven cavity, locate the temperature sensor on the rear wall. Remove its screws and gently pull it forward to access the connector.
  • Check connections: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated. Clean any corrosion with contact cleaner and reconnect.
  • Measure resistance: With the sensor disconnected, measure resistance with a multimeter. An open reading (infinite resistance) indicates a failed sensor that must be replaced.
  • Check harness to control: If the sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector to the EOC connector using a multimeter. Repair or replace any damaged wiring.
  • Replace sensor: Install a new Bauknecht-compatible NTC sensor if the original is faulty. Refit screws and restore power to test.

Warning: Do not operate the oven with the sensor disconnected; it can cause uncontrolled heating.
