Possible Causes
Corrupted EEPROM on EOC, Incorrect configuration after board replacement, Power surge or brownout, Internal control board failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 10–15 minutes, then restore. If F5 clears and does not return, monitor operation.
- Check model configuration: If the control board was recently replaced, verify that the correct Bauknecht part number was installed and that any configuration jumpers or programming steps were completed according to the service manual.
- Inspect board: Remove the control panel and inspect the EOC for visible damage or loose connectors.
- Replace EOC: If F5 persists, the EEPROM or microcontroller is likely defective. Replace the EOC with the exact model-specific part.
Warning: Configuration errors can cause unsafe heating behavior. If unsure, contact an authorized Bauknecht service center.
