Check vents: Ensure the ventilation slots above the door and at the rear are not blocked by cabinetry or objects.
Listen for fan operation: When the oven is on (before error appears), listen for the internal cooling fan. If it is silent or noisy, suspect the fan motor.
Access fan: Remove the rear panel of the range to access the cooling fan assembly. Inspect for seized bearings, broken blades, or obstructions.
Test fan motor: With a multimeter, check continuity of the fan motor windings. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also check for supply voltage at the fan when the oven is calling for cooling (requires live testing; only for qualified persons).
Replace faulty parts: Replace the cooling fan motor if defective. If the motor is good but never receives power, the control board fan relay/triac is likely faulty and the EOC must be replaced.
