Possible Causes
Burned-out bake element, Burned-out grill element, Open safety thermostat, Loose wiring at terminal block or elements
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool.
- Test in different modes: Try conventional bake, grill, and fan-assisted modes. If none heat, suspect supply, thermostat, or control. If only one mode fails, suspect that specific element.
- Inspect elements: Look for visible breaks, blisters, or burn marks on the elements inside the cavity.
- Measure resistance: Access the rear of the oven and test each element with a multimeter. Replace any open-circuit element with a Bauknecht-compatible part.
- Check safety thermostat: Test the high-limit thermostat for continuity and replace if open.
- Verify wiring: Tighten connections at the mains terminal block and element terminals.
Warning: Do not attempt to bypass thermostats or operate with exposed wiring.
