Possible Causes
Prolonged high-power cooking, blocked ventilation, failed temperature sensor on coil, cooling fan not running
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the hob to cool before touching the glass or working underneath.
- Cool down: Switch off the affected zone and wait 15–20 minutes. Do not cover the hob with boards or cloths while it cools.
- Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate space under the hob and that cabinet drawers are not packed tightly against the underside. Remove any stored items directly under the hob.
- Clean filters/vents: If the hob has intake grills, vacuum dust and grease from them.
- Internal checks: If E2 recurs quickly, inspect the cooling fan and temperature sensor as described in F7/F8. Replace faulty components as needed.
