Possible Causes
Split dual-circuit grill element, burnt connection on one side of element, faulty grill selector switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before accessing the grill area.
- Visual check: Turn the grill on briefly and observe (from a safe distance) which part of the element glows. Turn off and allow to cool.
- Test element circuits: Disconnect the grill element and measure resistance between each terminal combination. A dual-circuit element should show two similar resistances. An open reading on one side indicates a failed circuit.
- Inspect terminals: Check for burnt or loose spade connectors at the element ends. Replace damaged connectors.
- Replace element: Fit a new Belling-compatible grill element if one side has failed.
