Main oven heats but does not reach set temperature or cooks food unevenly

Safety: Turn off power before removing panels or elements.

• Door seal check: Inspect the rubber door gasket for splits, gaps, or hardened sections. Close the door on a sheet of paper; if it pulls out easily all around, the seal may be worn. Replace if damaged.
• Fan operation: With the oven on, observe the fan through the rear guard. It should spin smoothly and quietly. If slow, noisy, or not running, replace the fan motor.
• Element inspection: Look for hot spots, blisters, or cracks on the fan element. Test resistance; a significantly higher resistance than spec can indicate a weak element. Replace if suspect.
• Temperature verification: Use an oven thermometer to compare actual temperature to the set value. If consistently off by a large margin, the thermostat or electronic sensor may need replacement or calibration by a technician.
