Possible Causes

Loose fan blade, food debris caught in fan, worn fan motor bearings, bent fan blade rubbing on shroud

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Isolate power and allow the oven to cool before removing the rear panel.

  • Access fan: Remove the screws holding the internal rear cover inside the oven to expose the fan blade.
  • Clean and tighten: Remove any debris around the fan. Check that the central nut securing the blade is tight. Gently straighten any bent blades.
  • Spin test: Spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely without grinding. If stiff or noisy, the motor bearings are likely worn.
  • Replace motor: From the rear of the cooker, remove the fan motor mounting screws and transfer the blade to the new motor. Refit and test.
