Possible Causes
Element insulation breakdown to earth, damaged wiring touching chassis, moisture inside elements or terminal block, faulty mains filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker without finding the cause. Isolate the cooker and verify no power is present before testing.
- Identify which function trips: Try fan oven, conventional oven, and grill separately (if safe to do so). The function that causes tripping points to the faulty circuit.
- Inspect elements and wiring: Remove rear and top panels. Look for burnt insulation, melted connectors, or wires touching the metal chassis. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- Insulation test (advanced): Using a megohmmeter, test each element from terminal to earth. Low resistance indicates leakage; replace the element.
- Dry out moisture: If the cooker has been recently cleaned heavily with water or steam, allow it to dry thoroughly for 24 hours and test again. Persistent tripping requires component replacement.
